STEP 3: THE RIGHT PROGRAM FOR YOU

Tier 1

Basic Tapering Program

Our tapering program is designed to support individuals who want to gradually withdraw from benzodiazepines. It is especially beneficial for those who have not previously attempted a taper and are experiencing mild or no withdrawal symptoms. This program is suitable for individuals who are well-informed about the acute withdrawal effects of benzodiazepines and are willing to endure them.

Basic Tapering Program is ideally suited for:
1- Individuals who want a patient-led, doctor-guided approach to benzodiazepine taper
2- Individuals willing to start with a slow, 2.5% dose reduction every 10 days to 2 weeks.
3- Individuals who are willing to have monthly medical visits regularly
4- Individuals who are able to manage their withdrawal symptoms
5- Individuals who want to avoid taking nutritional supplements
6- Individuals who may require a prescription
7- Individuals who have not attempted a prior taper

Tier 2

Consultant Program

Our second option, Our Consultant Program, is specifically developed for individuals who experience minimal symptoms related to benzodiazepine use. This program involves targeted tests to identify any underlying deficiencies and imbalances. Lifestyle modifications, along with nutrient and molecule supplements, are utilized to address these issues, aiming to stabilize the individual's condition. If required, a benzodiazepine tapering process can be initiated, gradually reducing the dosage by 2.5% every 10 days to 2 weeks. Additionally, switching to a different benzodiazepine may be considered if it is deemed appropriate.

Our consultant program is ideally suited for:

1- Individuals who may or may not have a physician willing to write tapering doses of benzodiazepines.
2- Individuals who would like to have more physician support

3- Individuals who would like to discover the root causes of symptoms
4- Individuals who are willing to have regular functional medicine consults via video conference and phone
5- Individuals who are willing to buy and use supplements as recommended
6- Individuals who are willing to meet with nutritionists and other specialists if recommended

This program consists of:
1 -Gathering information via questionnaires
2- Testing of blood, stool, urine, and hair
3- Evaluation of the test results
3- Detailed functional medicine visits, cost as noted above

**The individual will pay all testing and supplement costs
**All emails, calls, and visits with the provider will incur charges

Tier 3

Comprehensive Program

The comprehensive program caters to individuals who are experiencing a range of symptoms associated with benzodiazepine use and/or those who wish to identify the underlying causes of their symptoms. Through this program, the physician will work closely with the patient and their family to comprehend and address their symptoms. Given that our understanding of the neurotoxic and other changes induced by benzo use is still evolving, various functional medicine tests will be employed to aid in this regard. Supplements, medications and molecules may be judiciously and extensively utilized alongside lifestyle modifications to alleviate distress. Coaches and consultants will be available as required.  Benzodiazepine tapering may be initiated using a slow, 2.5% dose reduction every 10 days to 2 weeks. There is also the option of switching to a different benzodiazepine, as deemed appropriate.

This program is ideally suited for:
1 - Individuals who continue to experience intolerable symptoms despite a slow taper.
2- Individuals who would like to correct the root causes of symptoms
3- Individuals who would benefit from extensive physician support throughout the taper
4- Individuals who would like to understand the science behind the withdrawal symptoms
5- Individuals who want to maximize their chances of a successful taper
6- Individuals who would like to judiciously expedite the taper.

This all-inclusive program consists of:
1 - Gathering information via questionnaires
2- Testing of blood, stool, urine, and hair
3- Detailed, frequent medical visits
4- Nutritional and psycho-spiritual supports, as needed
5- Supplemental nutrients based on testing and information gathered
