Week 10 of the Withdrawal Biology series.

Late reinstatement or updosing often does not behave as expected.

By the time severe symptoms emerge, multiple stress systems may already be sensitized:

• CRH–adrenergic activation (Axis 1)

• Excitatory–neuroinflammatory signaling (Axis 2)

• Autonomic instability (Axis 3)

• Basal ganglia–cerebellar motor dysregulation (Axis 4)

• Immune / mast-cell reactivity (Axis 5)

Reinstating a prior dose does not immediately reverse stress-system sensitization.

Stabilization — not milligrams alone — drives recovery.
